Wirelessly Connecting to the Conference Display

The screen in the Unit 7 Conference area is fitted with a Microsoft Wireless Display adaptor. This device uses technology called Miracast built into most Windows PCs and many Android mobile devices to allow you to connect and project your screen wirelessly.

 

Once started the screen will show the following message:

Connecting from Windows 10/11

Hold down the windows key and press 'K'. The following menu will appear on the right of your screen...

Click on 'Unit5ConferenceDisplay' and it will start to connect.

Your screen should now appear on the display. You can change the projection mode to chose between duplicating or extending your display by pressing windows key and 'K' again to bring up the 'Connect' panel and clicking 'Change Projection Mode'

While you are projecting a small panel will appear on your main screen. To disconnect from the screen press the 'disconnect' button on this panel, or again press Win+'K' and click Disconnect.
