Mark an Email as Spam or Phishing

Sometimes junk or phishing emails do not get filtered by the Microsoft spam filters, especially when it's a new style of message they don't recognise.

You can help to improve this by using the built-in mechanisms of Outlook to report these directly to Microsoft.

Please note this doesn't currently work for shared mailboxes.

REMEMBER: If you suspect an email may be malicious, DO NOT click on any links or attachments in the email. If you are unsure please forward the message to ITSupport@antech.co.uk

In the Outlook Desktop App

Select the message, then from the ribbon/toolbar:

In the Outlook Web App

Right click on the email and go to the 'Security options' section

In the Outlook Mobile Apps

Open the email. On the email view there are two '...' menus. Tap the one alongside the email subject information. Scroll all the way to the bottom and there will be a square 'Report Message' icon.
